About Peggy Parskey
President, Parskey Consulting
Peggy Parskey is the President of a consulting firm focused on driving strategic change to improve organizational and individual performance. Peggy has over 25 years of experience in varied yet complimentary disciplines including management of change, human performance improvement and knowledge management to set program goals, define success measures and develop tactical plans. Her clients are predominantly Fortune 500 firms whose needs include business operations improvement and enhanced processes to demonstrate effectiveness and value to internal stakeholders and external customers. Parskey Consulting has provided services to Cisco, ADP, The Los Angeles Times and Southern California Public Radio.
Peggy is also a part-time staff member with CEB Metrics That Matter (MTM) having joined them in 2007. At MTM, she is accountable for business development support and delivers strategic consulting services to Human Resources, Talent and Learning Organizations. Peggy consults with organizations to develop Talent measurement strategies, integrate measurement into Talent processes, develop action-oriented reports, scorecards and dashboards for clients and conducts impact studies to demonstrate the linkage between talent programs and business outcomes. Peggy’s overriding goal is to enable her clients to develop sustainable measurement processes and grow their internal measurement maturity and capacity. In this capacity Peggy has been the lead consultant with numerous firms such as Accenture, Cigna, HSBC, Anthem and Lowe’s.
In addition, Peggy spends about 25% of her time at MTM on R&D projects, specifically to develop new capabilities within MTM and accompanying consulting services. Over the past 18 months, she has guided the ideation and design of informal learning measurement capabilities at MTM.
Finally, Peggy is the Assistant Director of the nonprofit organization, Center for Talent Reporting. She is responsible for credentialing talent practitioners in the execution of Talent Development Reporting Principles within their organizations or with clients. She developed the credentialing process and a 2-day workshop to build practitioner capability in running HR like a business.
Prior to starting her own firm, Peggy was employed at Hewlett-Packard Company. Between 1997 and 2001, Peggy co-led a Knowledge Management Practice within HP Consulting and drove the development of robust knowledge management capability within the organization. During her tenure, the organization was recognized as a Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) and was considered a best practice organization by APQC. Between 2001 and 2005, Peggy oversaw global learning processes and focused on creating best-in-class learning methodologies for human performance technology and instructional design. The work of Peggy and her team was featured in the Journal of Performance Improvement in 2004 in an article entitled: “Looking in the Mirror, Performance Improvement for Performance Improvers.”
Peggy has written numerous blog posts and articles. In 2014, she co-authored a chapter, “Big Learning Data” by Elliott Masie on the importance of developing a measurement strategy to build sustainable measurement capability. In 2015, she authored a chapter in the “6Ds Field Guide” by Pollack, Jefferson and Wick entitled “How We Guide Clients to Design with the End in Mind.”
Peggy was the 2008 President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and served as its Treasurer in 2010. Peggy is certified in Management of Change Methodologies both at the organizational and individual performer levels. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Simmons College and Masters Degrees from the University of Chicago in Statistics and Business Administration.
